A recent national telephone poll conducted by Zogby appears to be good news for Ron Paul. Thousands of staunch Republicans, most of whom do not use the internet regularly, were polled by telephone recently. In a blind poll they were given the option of 4 candidates; A,B,C, and D.
Candidate A is a 10-term US Congressman from a large Southern state who is an advocate for a smaller government and individual liberty. This candidate believes in strictly following the Constitution and has never voted to raise taxes. He has never voted in favor of the war in Iraq or the Patriot Act, and wants to bring troops home as soon as possible. As a former doctor, this candidate has delivered more than 4,000 babies. One of this candidate’s goals is to return America to the gold standard, and he believes that the current monetary policy needs to be drastically overhauled because of the dollar’s decline.
Candidate B is a former governor from a Democratic state in the Northeast. Before that, he was credited for essentially saving the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. He is a Mormon and family man who is considered a moderate-to-conservative member of the GOP. While Governor, he signed the first state laws in the nation requiring all citizens of this state to obtain health insurance. He is a strong supporter of keeping troops in Iraq although he has been critical of how the war has been handled.
Candidate C is a former two-term senator from a Southern state who was a long-time lobbyist before running for public office. He was chief Republican council for the Congressional committee that investigated Watergate in the early 1970s. He was an actor playing supporting roles in several major motion pictures before entering the Senate, and returned to a prominent role as a New York City prosecutor in a popular network television series after leaving office. He has mostly supported the war in Iraq, but has said he would have managed it differently.
Candidate D is a former two-term mayor of a major city in the Northeast, and is considered a moderate member of the party on social issues. As Mayor, he presided over a dramatic drop in crime in his city, and is best known for his leadership in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He established a worldwide security consulting business after leaving public office at the end of 2001 He has been a supporter of President Bush since leaving office and supports the war in Iraq.
Ron Paul is A, Mitt Romney is B, Fred Thompson is C, and Rudy Giuliani is D. The respondents were not given the candidates names. This poll was done based strictly on who the candidates are, and what they stand for. Ron Paul came out with 32.8%. Next in line is Not Sure with 20.8%, followed by Giuliani with 18.6%, Romney with 15.1%, and Thompson with 12.6%.
**It must be noted that a massive majority of those polled, are not avid internet and computer users. This completely negates the Main Stream Media’s claims that Ron Paul is only popular on the internet.
Also to be noted, 49% of those polled, want the war to end, and our troops to come home.
This poll seems to substantiate what so many supporters of Dr. Paul have believed all along, that the message has spread, and continue to spread.

Incredible! Absolutely Incredible!
woe… it might actually be happening:)
His message is so simple. Selling it is even simpler. It sells itself. There is hope.
thats really marvellous, although am not american, but I wish Ron Paul could win it for your sake!!

I find no evidence that this story is true when I visit the Zogby website. Can our author offer us a link to varify this poll?
“Candidate A” is actually “Candidate R”.
John, the source website says Zogby will be issuing a press release tomorrow.
But, until then, you can read this….

This shows you that without the brainwashing of the MSM, people will make the right choices.
Also, I saw people thanks to the MSM, complaining about a flyer that went out this week about taxes, medicare, medicaid, and people were saying how awful! Why? Not because they didn’t like the positions on the issues, but their attitude was ‘how dare this awful person tell these lies!’
WHAT DOES THIS PROVE? IT PROVES THAT the way the MSM paints a person counts more than what that person really stands for, even when his record and positions are clearly there for the people to see.
IF THIS DOES NOT SCARE AND UPSET YOU, NOTHING WILL. PEOPLE SHOULD BE OUTRAGED.
I am a Ron Paul supporter, but this certainly feels like a hoax. I guess we will find out later today (it is 1 am here EST on the 20th). But my, my, my, if this is real, “electability” should no longer be an issue.
Go Ron!
Unless I’m missing something, how did they know the respondents were blind? And what would that have to do with the issues that are important to them. I would imagine they deal with the same issues everyone else does. I suppose disability rights would be a bigger concern for them though.

seeing Pauls movement grow has been exciting stuff, and I think NH will really get the ball moving, when all of a sudden the MSM polls are shown to be inaccurate. i’m expecting Dr. Paul to get over half in that primary…i mean look at the pathetic field he’s up against!
it’s become well-known that the so-called “mainstream polls” are only using landlines, and are otherwise skewed. 3 billion people in the world are using cell phones nowadays, and i’m sure that most of the younger crowd that supports Paul don’t have landlines at all, anymore. they will be calling it a “MAJOR UPSET”
you read it here first, perhaps!
live free or die……OR vote for Ghouliani…tough choice
very, very cool
Visit my website and you will more evidence of this truth. Ron Paul dominates in everything except for the typical national polls. Visit http://www.thecaseforronpaul.com and see for yourself.
It is all irrelevant. The powers that be will not under any circumstances allow Paul to occupy the Oval Office. Remember Bobby Kennedy?
Paul’s agenda wil cost Daddy Warbucks billions if not trillions of dollars. Just like Bobby would have.
Paul’s agenda is anti empire. Just like Bobby’s.
Paul’s goal is the “greater good” rather than corporate interests. Just like………………….
Get the picture?
Didn’t Bobby have an older brother who was very much like him?
Ridiculous. I love it. I wish he’d spoken up more in the New Hampshire debates. It’s too bad he’ll never get the Republican nod.
