…Then They attack Ron Paul, Then We Win

Posted on January 5, 2008 by Matt Letten

A surprising thing happened this evening at the ABC New Hampshire Republican debate. Only 2 candidates showed up.

The first candidates name was Fredmitt McGiulihuck. This candidate is an advocate for bankruptcy, warrant-less wire tapping, and attacking nations with aggressive war. He believes in policing the world, and thinks fanatic Muslims hate us because of our freedom.

Candidate number two goes by the name Ron Paul. He is a 10 term Congressman from Texas. He is an advocate for freedom, peace, and prosperity. This man is well read and researched on America’s foreign policy, and believes in learning from history. He seeks to restore our standing with the world, and restore the civil liberties that Fredmitt McGiulihuck has been taking away.

Ron Paul showed up to discuss the Constitution, the rule of law, ending the war, and bringing fiscal responsibility back. Mr. McGiulihuck showed up to uphold the status quo. Surprisingly he spent a large majority of his time attacking Ron Paul. He attacked Ron Paul’s foreign policy understanding, and insisted that terrorists hate America because of our freedom.

Ron Paul asked Fredmitt how he would feel if China tried to occupy America. Upon this, McGiulihuck laughed and failed to acknowledge the question.

As an audience member, I like what Ron Paul has to say. Fredmitt McGiulihuck can go bomb himself with a weapon he can’t afford.

Matt Letten – Thank you for this great article. What Fredmitt McGiulihuck is really laughing at is the Constitution and the American people who still believe in it. They are traitors…in my opinion. They ARE the enemy within.

I really thought Paul did well.

First, he gets last stab at the gift question to the floor, after he kept trying to take the floor the entire time. Immigration or something. Then, on the heels of that, the 100$ a barrel oil question comes up, and DEAD SILENCE. Ron paul ASKS for the floor, TAKES IT, and totally takes command of the rest of the debate, in my opinion.

I also thought it rediculas when Fred couldn’t even comprehend Pauls war statements, but tried to turn them into dismissive, derogatory comments.

Paul also always was separated from the rest of the candidates when the debate ended… but he and richardson had a lot to talk about (i kinda like richardson too)

Nice article. I was cracking up. You hit it right on the head. There were only 2 candidates there and only one democratic candidate.

Ill keep my comment simple. I believe Ron Paul is the smartest and most articulate out of the entire bunch.

He has a clear understanding of our economy, what motivates terroritsts and our healthcare system.

    Personally, he smoked em.

I prefer Fredmitt McGiulibee (as opposed to McGiulihuck), but that’s just me. Ron wiped the floor with those schmoes.

Most of the other candidates were ganging up on Paul, since if you noticed he was interrupted quite a lot. I’m pretty sure everyone else was just afraid that Paul would get his points across. At least the Democrats behaved better.

    LOL, Matt!
I only hope everyone watching saw how “the Mc” feared Dr. Paul’s answers and how when he finally had an opportunity to finish a statement, “Mc” had to collect their thoughts and only one voice took a risk to attempt a response! Did you love their silence?!? The razzle-dazzle is so blatant. Wasting time arguing about ads, of all things.
Ron Paul, however, is the only one who has so much understanding that it could not be covered in one debate.
Good job and thanks for the entertainment, Matt!

Nice try, but Mitt obviously separated himself from the rest, considering he was constantly attacked, knew the issues, and maintained his composure.

There were only three adults on stage last night, Mitt, Paul, and Rudy. The rest looked like sniveling babies, especially McCain and Huck.

Paul is pretty good and knows his stuff, but I completely disagree with him on foreign policy. His isolationism would be the death of our country.

Dr. Ron Paul once again was the winner of the debate.
America is starting to wake up. The Media cannot hold back this revolution.

Great article and right on point.

    Get the word out…..

What is really sad is that if for some reason Dr. Paul dropped out of the race there is no one else that I would vote for. No one even comes close — they are all charlatans …

One more thing — here it is almost 10am and I am watching FOX Sunday morning — Dr. Paul’s name never came up — amazing, what bias…

Great article and right to the point, Ron Paul stands way above the Fredmitt McGuiulihuck those comments on the price of oil under the dollar,Euro and gold was a pitch inside of which the good DR likes and he hit it out of the ballpark, Great job Dr. Paul !!!!!

Whether or not you support Ron Paul, which I do, I think the idea of respect has been lost. He came in with facts and well-thought out statements and was responded to with ad hominem attacks and mocking. It’s sad to see grown men in a national public arena rudely laugh at a man who has served his country in the Air Force, congress and private sector. It was also disappointing to watch them attack each other. I appreciate Ron Paul for sticking to the issues and not trying to get 2 or 3 votes by ridiculing an opponent.

When Paul can actually finish at least third somewhere, people outside the internet echo chamber Paul fans surround themselves with might actually pay some attention to him. Not likely to happen anywhere in the country.

  15. Bad, on January 6th, 2008 at 5:29 pm Said:

Paul still doesn’t have much of a chance. He can, however, push certain issues to the fore, and I hope folks are happy with that.

Just watched a few seconds of the New Hampshire debate Romney speaking. I said to myself, now I understand why Ron Paul supporters are so fanatic in trying to get him the Republican bid for November election. I do not support him because he does not support freedom of choice for women. I also feel he is too old and I do not relate to Carol at all. The next President has to represent all the people. Overturning Roe versus Wade will not stop abortion, it will simply force unsafe coat hanger kind like in the days before the case was won for women to have the legal choice to do so.

But I would rather him than Romney, Huckabee or Rudy. A word to RP supporters, get off the Internet and take the message to the streets. By trolling, spamming and so on you turn off potential supporters. As a leader Paul does not inspire them to respect others and to disagree without being disagreeable. He teaches them to hurl false accusations at other candidates which is exactly the kind of politics we, the people are sick and tired of seeing and hearing.

  20. RP, on January 7th, 2008 at 3:28 pm Said:

I am inspired by Dr. Pauls demeanor in the debates. He remains calm and actually addresses the questions. Of couse the NeoCon Fredmitt McGuiulihuck interrupts him incessantly. I notice that he does not do this to others in turn.
He has a truly American stand on taxes, bureacracy, the fed, immigration, war, and the second ammendment.
To address IZZY99 concern… overturning Roe VS. Wade does not take away woments rights but rather removes it from being a Federal issue…thus leaving it to the states. It is a far leap to assume that if Roe vs. Wade is overturned that abortion will be illegal.
I think that if you claim to be a conservative and do not support Paul than you are not actually conservative there is no other conservative (nor constitutional) choice in either of the two parties.
If you are afraid of Ron Pauls thought then you should consider that many things are frightening to a small child it may be frightening to pull a piece of glass out of their foot but we know desite their discomfort and fear that to remove the glass is for the best. In this analogy the Bureacracies are the glass and the people are the child.
I imagine that it was pretty frightening for the 75 at Lexington Common who decided to throw off the oppresion of the British in exchange for the unknown and VERY RADICAL idea of freedom. If these people could stand up against the biggest empire on earth and be so integral to the recognition of a FREE PEOPLE then Paul supporters must not succumb to the NEOCON strategy of stressing fear of freedom and Dr. Paul.
His ideas are revolutionary and speak more of CHANGE then any candidate. The interesting irony is that they also are simultaeneuosly CONSERVATIVE in that these ideas are rooted in our most foundational document. They are LIBERAL in the sense that this document and the ideas of freedom are liberal in comparison with other governments not just in 1776 but even in 2007.
Please research Dr. Paul more, learn his postions, and speak to others about his ideas more. Most importanty WHEN CONVINCED GO VOTE IN THE PRIMARY take someone with you.
Make the CHANGE necessary CONSERVATIVELY return to the LIBERAL values of our nation.
I am a veteran and have voted for every election but have never believed in a candidate before and never voted Republican. So this is a CHANGE for me.
